MRA
Magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) is peformed to visualize the blood vessels of the body. This noninvasive procedure can be used to diagnose and follow many different vascular conditions including aneurysms, atherosclerotic disease, and vascular malformations. An MRA exam is peformed in a similar fashion as a conventional MRI exam is done. Some MRA exams are done with the use of contrast material and sometimes the exam will be done without the use of contrast material.
